1. The following persons are not permitted to be appointed or to hold a position on the Joint Compliance Audit Committee:

An employee of any of the York Region Municipalities;
Members of Council or Local Board of any of the York Region Municipalities;
Council candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election and any by-election(s) held during the 2026 to 2030 Council term of office; or
Any persons who are Registered Third Parties in York Region.

2. Any person appointed as a member of the Joint Compliance Audit Committee must, in writing, agree not to provide any advice to, or prepare or audit the campaign financial statements of any candidate for office on any of the Councils in the York Region Municipalities, or any third party advertiser in any of the York Region Municipalities.
