Under Sections 357 and 358 of the Municipal Act, 2001, applicants may apply to appeal their property taxes for eligible circumstances affecting the assessment or use of the property. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document for more details.
Section 357 Deadline: File by the last day of February of the year following the application tax year. Example: 2024 Tax Year Deadline is February 28, 2025.
Section 358 Deadline: Applications may be filed between March 1 and December 31 of the year for issues relating to one or both of the two proceeding tax years.
IMPORTANT: Before starting your application, please ensure supporting documents are ready for digital upload. It is also a requirement for representatives to upload a signed authorization letter.
A copy of your completed application and next steps will be issued by email within 24-48 hours of submission.
